Sunday in the desert

I've spent my gloriously sunny Sunday afternoon working my way through various tutorials on a range of MS Office programs and accounting software. I think I'm getting my head around it all.

My throat is killing me. It is sooooo painful! No, it's not a cold or tonsillitis. It's likely to be a symptom of GERD. Or GORD if you're British. Either way it hurts.

I take proton pump inhibitor medication twice a day to stop my stomach making acid. But it doesn't stop the reflux. And I suspect it's the reflux that is irritating my throat to the point of tears. The slippery elm powder only eased the pain a wee bit. Time for some serious painkillers I think.

Sunday night in front of the telly. David Attenborough's Planet Earth followed by Bleak House, a rendition of the story by Charles Dickens. Both on the ABC-TV.
